I Love You

“The Cinderella Story of the Twentieth Century”
He prays to God, knowing he will be shedding more blood tonight, dancing loose throughout the ring. The 180 pound fighting machine he thinks he is, words of love hidden upon unearthed ground of a fighters heart.
Deaf to pain he’s not. Alive and well enjoying what he’s got. The love of one has not entered his life, but is here in unexpected places, searching for one to love.
A mans heart, determined to fight, among the best in his league, of brothers, they including himself, know not he’s a poet at heart, growing in ways to love the world that surrounds him, finding the pallet of Gods living color, flourishing in the iris of this fighters eyes.
Thirty years have past, the unexpected love of another time another place looking upon her differently. The way they touched, the way they looked into each others eyes, the way they held each other tight, wondering if they were really in love. His love for her, the way she smiled, the way she held and gracefully carried herself along with the feelings and emotions he felt for her.
This fighter at heart writes this poem for the one he loves.

He whispers into the midnight hour
Seductive and sensual, restless in all their moves
Rose petals
Line paths of
“Love”

Loving each other, chasing our emotions
Into the early morning hour
Watching the early morning sunrise
Engulf a romance of its own

Winds of change
The scent of your secret garden
Fills the air

Flowing through our bedroom window
I’m standing outside your door

A long stem red rose
Wanting to show you

The I Love You poem is just breathtaking. I really like this part:
Loving each other, chasing our emotions
Into the early morning hour
Watching the early morning sunrise
Engulf a romance of its own
How beautiful, you know well how to use the words to move the soul.
